Randle Chowning’s, founding member of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, songwriting, lead guitar and vocals were featured on the group’s recordings on A&M Records, including their first hit, “If You Wanna Get To Heaven”, in 1973. It was recently voted one of the top twenty all time Southern Rock Hits. It still gets airplay on classic rock stations everywhere. Randle also played harmonica and mandolin on their recordings. Chowning recently returned to Springfield, Missouri after nearly ten years in Nashville. He has been performing with bands, including an acoustic version of Beyond Reach, and also as a solo artist. Drawing on all his life long experiences with rock, country, bluegrass, folk and blues his original songs sound like your favorite tunes.
